Bengaluru News: A pilot working with a chartered aircraft company has been booked for allegedly sexually assaulting a 26-year-old cabin crew member at a hotel in Bengaluru during a layover. Police confirmed on Sunday.

The incident reportedly took place on November 18, but the survivor filed her complaint only after returning to Hyderabad. According to officials in Hyderabad, the complainant stated that the assault happened while the flight crew was staying overnight at a hotel in Bengaluru. She filed the complaint as soon as she reached Hyderabad, explaining the sequence of events during the layover.

Police said the chartered flight had travelled from Hyderabad on a business trip, with scheduled stops in Puttaparthi in Andhra Pradesh, followed by Chennai, before reaching Bengaluru for an overnight halt. The pilot and crew were accommodated at a hotel in the city, where the alleged assault took place.
