Bengaluru News: Abhinav Singh, a 32-year-old Odia rapper and engineer, was discovered dead in his apartment located in Kadubeesanahalli on Sunday night. The police have registered a case at the Marathahalli police station and initial reports suggest he died by suicide.

Singh, known by his stage name 'Juggernaut', was a prominent figure in the Odia rap scene, gaining fame with his hit song "Cuttack Anthem." His music combined local cultural themes with contemporary rap, addressing social issues while celebrating Odia identity. He collaborated with local artists, including MC Tor (Tanmay Sahoo) and garnered a growing fanbase on platforms like YouTube and Spotify.

Bengaluru News: Family Suspects Domestic Issues Behind Suicide

Family members suspect that Singh's suicide may have stemmed from conflicts with his wife. According to a Times Of India report, he consumed poison after being distressed by allegations against him. Following a post-mortem examination, his body has been sent to Odisha for final rites.

Singh's family has since filed a formal complaint with the Lalbagh police, naming 8 to 10 individuals and calling for a thorough investigation. His father, Bijay Nanda Singh, claims that his son endured mental torture from his wife and others, which contributed to his tragic decision.

The rapper's life had been marked by controversy. In August 2024, he faced serious allegations from Ollywood actress Supriya, who accused him of preventing her from launching a music video and allegedly assaulting her. This incident drew considerable media attention and legal scrutiny. Additionally, he was involved in an incident at an OYO hotel in Bhubaneswar, following a complaint from his wife, which led to authorities sealing the establishment.

As the investigation continues, Bengaluru police are working to uncover the circumstances surrounding Singh's death.
