Bengaluru Onam 2025: The spirit of Onam is set to brighten Bengaluru this week, with the city preparing to serve the traditional Onam Sadya at restaurants, hotels, temples and community gatherings. The vegetarian feast, which is the highlight of Kerala’s biggest festival, will be available across multiple venues in the city, giving residents and food lovers a chance to experience Kerala’s culture on a banana leaf.
The Sadya is no ordinary meal. It usually includes 20 to 25 dishes, carefully placed on a banana leaf and eaten with hands. From spicy curries to tangy pickles, crispy banana chips and sweet payasams, the meal represents abundance and togetherness. Each dish, whether it is avial, olan or Ada Pradhaman, carries a touch of Kerala’s tradition.
