Bengaluru Power Cut: City to experience power cut on June 14 and 15 scheduled from 6 am to 6pm due to the shifting of the 66 kV Loop-In Loop-Out (LILO) line at the 220/66/11 kV Sarjapur Main Unit Substation (MUSS).
Bengaluru Power Cut On June 14 And 15: Affected Areas
This will affect power supply in Sarjapur Town, Bidruguppe, Muguluru, Yamare, Handenahalli, and areas within the Billapura panchayat limits.
Both KPTCL and BESCOM have requested public cooperation during the scheduled outages, saying that the maintenance work is essential for improving power stability and supporting future infrastructure upgrades in the region. Citizens can call the helpline at 1912 for emergency assistance or updates during the power cuts.
In separate news, the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) has announced scheduled power outages in and around Sarjapur and Attibele over the next few days due to maintenance work. Power will be interrupted daily from 9 AM to 5 PM between June 13 and June 15 to facilitate the installation of High Temperature Low Sagging (HTLS) conductors on the 66 kV Sarjapur-Attibele line.
The scheduled power outage will impact several areas, including Yadavanahalli, Ichangur, Vaddarapalya, Attibele Industrial Area, Balagaranahalli, Manchanahalli, Attibele Town, Mayasandra, Dasanapura, Balluru, Kamblipura, Chikkanahalli, Indlabele, Harohalli, Anekal Town, Kavaluhosahalli.
In other news, former Infosys CFO Mohandas Pai has strongly criticized the poor condition of Bengaluru’s roads, describing them as “pathetic” after videos and photos of waterlogged and damaged streets went viral on social media following recent rains. Sharing a photo of a pothole on X, Pai questioned the quality of the repair work and tagged Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar and the BBMP Commissioner. In his post, he called the road repairs “very primitive” and labeled the situation a “big shame.”
