Bengaluru Power Cut: Residents and commercial establishments in parts of Bengaluru will face scheduled power cuts from June 13 to June 15. The outages will occur between 9 AM and 5 PM, as Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (Bescom) carries out maintenance work on the Sarjapur–Attibele 66/11 kV line.

Bengaluru Power Cut From June 13- 15

Bescom has announced that multiple localities will be affected during this time.

Attibele: Power supply will be disrupted in Yadavanahalli, Dasanapura, Vaddarapalya, Attibele Industrial Area, Ichanguru, Balagaranahalli, Attibele Town, Manchanahalli, Mayasandra and Harohalli.

Anekal: The outage will impact Anekal Town, Gowrenahalli, Kavala Hosahalli, Hompalagatta, Choodenahalli, Haldenahalli, Chikkahagade, Honna Kalasapura, Byagadadenahalli, Karpuru, Kada Agrahara and Doddahagade.

Samanduru: Samanduru, Guddanhalli, Aravanatigepura, Rachammanahalli, P. Gollahalli, Vanakanahalli, Telagaranahalli and surrounding areas.

Residents are advised to make necessary arrangements to manage the outages during the maintenance period.

In separate news, former Infosys CFO Mohandas Pai criticised Bengaluru’s poor road conditions, calling them “pathetic” after videos and photos showing waterlogged and damaged streets went viral on social media following recent rainfall. Sharing an image of a pothole on X, Pai questioned the quality of repair work and tagged Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar and BBMP Commissioner. In his post, he called the road repair work “very primitive” and a “big shame.”

His post sparked strong responses from residents, who voiced frustration over crumbling infrastructure and inadequate road maintenance. Some users demanded strict penalties for contractors and accountability from civic officials, suggesting job losses for those failing in their duties. Residents particularly criticised the state of roads in IT hubs, claiming authorities neglect maintenance despite collecting high taxes.

Meanwhile, the IMD has forecast light to moderate rain for the city in the coming days.
