Parts of Karnataka, including Bengaluru, are expected to have a rainy week as the southwest monsoon picks up steam. A red alert was issued for portions of the coastal belt on Sunday, while orange and yellow advisories were issued for other areas, including Bengaluru Urban, by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

For the next four days, Karnataka is expected to have more rain and strong winds, according to the IMD. It has been recommended that residents in interior and coastal regions exercise caution, particularly in areas that are under red and orange alerts. In certain areas, wind speeds of up to 50 kmph are expected.
