Gujarat Weather: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for extremely heavy rain in Junagadh, Gir Somnath, and Diu on June 17, Tuesday. Meanwhile, an orange alert has been issued for Bharuch, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Rajkot, Porbandar, Amreli, and Bhavnagar. Anand, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Dang, Tapi, Dwarka, and Jamnagar may also get heavy rainfall. It has been raining in most parts of the state for the last 24 hours A due to the development of a current in the Arabian Sea.

Clouds covered Bhavnagar since Tuesday morning, and rain has started in both the city and surrounding rural areas near Valsad.

June 18: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places in the Saurashtra districts of Porbandar, Junagadh, Dwarka, Gir Somnath, and in Diu. An orange alert has been issued for these areas. Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Amreli, and Bhavnagar are under a yellow warning for heavy rain.

June 19: The rain intensity will likely decrease. A yellow alert will be in place for Dahod, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Surat, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, Amreli, Bhavnagar, and Gir Somnath.

June 20 to 22: Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, Daman, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli will get heavy rain, while the rest of the state is likely to experience light rain.
