Bengaluru Power Cut: The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) has announced electricity supply cuts in several areas in Bengaluru on June 27, Friday, to carry out power related work in the city. The supply will be shut for 7 hours from 10 am to 5 pm on Friday. BESCOM has urged residents to plan their day in advance to avoid inconvenience and contact the helpline if necessary.

In another news, a shocking rape case was reported in Bengaluru in which a nursing student was allegedly raped by the owner of a paying guest (PG) accommodation after she confessed to theft. According to police, 35-year-old Ravi Teja Reddy, the owner of the PG facility, was arrested on the victim's complaint.

On the victim's complaint, Reddy has been booked for rape and taken into police custody. The 21-year-old girl had admitted to stealing three gold rings from another girl residing in the same PG, following which the PG owner sexually assaulted her.

The victim, a nursing graduate from Andhra Pradesh, had joined the PG only a week prior to the incident and was searching for a job, the police said. Investigations revealed that the victim had allegedly stolen three gold rings from another PG inmate.
