Bengaluru Power Cut On September 6: The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) has announced a 16-hour power outage in multiple locations across the city on Saturday, September 6, in view of urgent maintenance work. The electricity supply will be affected from 6 am to 10 pm to service the 66/11kV Banaswadi Power Transformer-3. BESCOM has advised residents to plan their day in advance to avoid inconvenience.

7th A and 9th Main, HRBR Layout, HRBR Layout 2nd Block, TNS Layout, Rajkumar Park, Kullappa Circle, Banjara Layout, Banjara Arcade, Trinity Enclave, RKBR Enclave, Agara Lake, Manjunath Nagar, Andhra Colony, parts of Punyabhumi Layout, Riches Garden, MR Riches Garden, West Riches Garden, Karekal Gudda, NRI Layout Phase 1 & Dodda Gubbi, Bilishivale, and surrounding regions.

In another update, the Police Commissioner of Bengaluru has ordered a ban on the sale of liquor across several areas of the city from 6 am on Friday, September 5, to 6 am on Saturday, September 6.
“To ensure the procession is conducted peacefully, deputy commissioners of police from the east and north divisions requested a liquor ban within their jurisdictions. Having examined the matter and based on intelligence inputs, I am convinced that prohibiting the sale of liquor is necessary to prevent untoward incidents,” Police Commissioner of Bengaluru, Seemanth Kumar Singh said in his order.
As per the order, all bars, pubs, wine shops and restaurants selling liquor will remain shut in the following areas: East Division- Hennur, RM Nagar, Govindapura, KG Halli, DJ Halli, Pulakeshinagar, Bharathinagar, Commercial Street, Shivajinagar.
