Bengaluru Power Cut: Strategic power supply cuts shall be implemented for the residents of Bengaluru, starting from tomorrow. The cut will be in place till next week. The power disruption comes in view of maintenance work by the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL). The power cuts were mandated to carry out the maintenance work smoothly.
The Bescom has decided for cuts in various parts of Bengaluru from Friday until June 12, said a report by Times of India.
Bengaluru Power Cut: Affected Localities
June 8 (10 am to 4 pm): Miller Tank Bund Road, Bamboo Bazaar Road, Broadway Road, Cockburn Road, Seppings Road, Queens Road, Bowring Hospital, Infantry Road, VV Towers, MS Building, CID, Thimmaiah Road, Miller's Road, Cunningham Road, Ali Askar Road, Chandini Chowk, MEG Centre, Raj Bhavan, Vasanthnagar, Vidhana Soudha, and Vikasa Soudha.
June 11 (10 am to 3 pm): Adugodi, Nanjappa Layout, Chikka Lakshmaiah Layout, Wilson Garden, Lakkasandra, Adugodi, Salarpuria Tower, Chikka and Laljinagar.

June 12 (10 am to 3 pm): Thyagarajanagar, BSK III Stage, Katriguppe, Girinagar 4th Phase, Wilson Garden, JC Road, Srinagar, Hosakerehalli, Veerabhadranagar, New Timberyard (NTY) Layout, Shantinagar, Richmond Circle, Residency Road, Lalbagh Road, Sampangiramanagar, KH Road, Subbaiah Circle, and Sudhamanagar.

Bengaluru is currently witnessing cool breezes accompanied by cloudy skies, pleasant weather, the IT Hub is famous for. The city saw some amount of rain over the past few days, but the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has not issued any warnings for Bengaluru.
Last night, there was heavy rainfall in the Belagavi district, with Gonnagar getting 145mm, Manihal 138.5mm, Hosakeri 134mm, and Sureban 126.5mm. In the Vijayapura district, Kudagi saw significant rainfall of 132.5mm. The IMD weather forecast predicts that this heavy rainfall will continue for the next week as the southwest monsoon has arrived in the city.
