Bengaluru Power Cut: The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has announced scheduled outages spread over five days, starting December 4. Maintenance works and upgrades delayed during the monsoon season and summer months will be carried out during the five-day period till December 8.

BESCOM stated that the electricity will be restored if works are completed ahead of schedule. The outages will occur between 10 am and 6 pm. The power cuts can vary from 1 to 5 hours depending on the conditions in the area.

Bengaluru Power Cut: Areas Likely To Be Affected

Though the power cuts will be carried out subdivision wise, the outages are expected to occur in parts of North, South, East, West and Central Bengaluru, as per Oneindia report.

Areas like Whitefield, Hoodi, ITPL and Mahadevapura, Shivajinagar, Richmond Town and stretches near MG Road are also likely to be affected.

Bengaluru Weather

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Bengaluru is likely to see a temperature dip this week. As per the weather body, The mercury could fall to 17 degrees on Wednesday. Apart from this, the city is expected to see some rain activity on Thursday. As per IMD, till December 8, temperatures will not fluctuate much in the city.

On December 4, light to moderate rain is likely to occur at one or two places over Chamarajanagar, Mysuru, Kodagu, Ramanagara, Bengaluru (Rural), Bengaluru (Urban), Hassan, Chikkamagaluru, Kolar, Shivamogga and Chikkaballapur districts. Dry weather is likely to prevail over Ballari, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Mandya, Tumakuru and Vijayanagara districts.
