Bengaluru Power Cut Today: The Bangalore Electricity Distribution Company (BESCOM) has announced a shutdown in several areas on Sunday in view of maintenance works to ensure smooth power supply to residents. The supply disruption is part of regular maintenance work aimed at strengthening the network and improving reliability.

The outage is announced during the day on Sunday, January 25, but the exact timing of the outage may vary by zone.

Power supply will be resumed once the maintenance work is completed in each affected area. The power outage has been announced due to scheduled repairs and system upgrades at 220 kV, 66 kV and 11 kV substations. Teams from BESCOM and Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) will carry out the work to ensure a smoother and more stable electricity supply in the future.

Bengaluru Power Cut January 25: Affected Areas

While the exact zone-wise list is not out, the Bengaluru power outage on Sunday is likely to affect parts of Bengaluru Urban and nearby Kolar regions that are served by affected substations. Some of the areas identified from official and local reports include:

Kolar City & Nearby Villages, including Vakkaleri, Bangarpet, Talagunda, and Tekkemadu, as power is shared across the grid.
