Bengaluru Power Cut Today: The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has announced shutdown in several areas in Bengaluru till 6 pm on Monday in view of maintenance works. The shutdown began at 9 am. BESCOM has urged residents to plan their day in advance to avoid inconvenience.

Talagunda, Bettahosapura, Shettihalli, Shivam Auto Tech, Narasapura Industrial, Shettihalli, Vemagal, the Industrial Area, and Modihalli villages.
"Customers served by the 66/11 kV Vemagal Substation on feeders F-1 and F-2 (Talagunda, Bettahosapura), F-4 (Shettihalli), F-5 (Shivam Auto Tech), and F-6 (Narasapura Industrial) will experience an interruption in power supply on March 16. The notice requests cooperation from residents of Shettihalli, Vemagal, the Industrial Area, and Modihalli villages on these dates during the supply disruption," shared BESCOM on Monday.
In another news, a woman pursuing an internship in Bengaluru shared a breakdown of her monthly expenses, shocking viewers online. The post shared on X highlighted the fact that sustaining a life in a city like Bengaluru can be very expensive.

The netizen, identified as Anshika Agarwal, shared a thorough breakdown of monthly expenses in her two-month internship. As per the social media post, living in Bengaluru for two months costs roughly Rs 26,000 per month.
Rent was one of the biggest expenses in the tech city. Paying guest accommodation (PG) alone costs about Rs 12,500 a month, highlighting housing remains one of the main financial pressures for students and young professionals moving to Bengaluru.
Food turned out to be the second biggest cost. Around Rs 6,000 went towards meals each month. Aggarwal said that although PG accommodation usually includes food, she often could not consume the PG food and had to spend extra on meals outside.
