Bengaluru To Mysuru: After years of crawling through traffic on Mysore Road, commuters in Bengaluru may finally see some relief. The Bengaluru Traffic Police have launched a trial run of a crucial new road connection, designed to ease pressure on one of the most congested stretches. This four-lane corridor is expected to function as a high-speed alternative, redistributing traffic and improving movement in the region.
New Route Connection
The route connects Deepanjali Nagar with key southern localities such as Hosakerehallu, Banashankari 6th Stage, Kanakapura Road, and Hosur Road, while also offering smoother access to Magadi Road and Tumakuru Road. As per an Indian Express report, It is set to benefit those travelling toward Mysuru. By entering the link at Challaghatta, people can avoid the usual inner-city congestion and reach the expressway more efficiently.
-In a major relief, the new route is expected to ease congestion on Mysore Road by almost 25 per cent.
-The new link could ease traffic congestion over weekends. By offering an alternative route, it is expected to streamline the flow of vehicles leaving Bengaluru.
-Although the Karnataka government has not yet conducted an official inauguration, authorities have made the stretch accessible to the public on a trial basis.

-Toll charges on National Highways managed by the NHAI, along with the NICE Road, are set to be revised, going up by 3 to 5 per cent.
-Monthly pass fees for private vehicles are also seeing a hike, increasing from Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,075.
In another news, Air India's Boeing 787-8 aircraft flying from Bengaluru to London Heathrow was diverted to Jeddah on Monday due to a technical issue after being airborne for over six hours.
In a statement, an airline spokesperson said the plane made a precautionary diversion and is currently undergoing comprehensive technical inspections in accordance with established safety protocols.
"Air India Flight AI133, operating from Bengaluru (BLR) to London Heathrow (LHR) on 23 March, made a precautionary en route diversion to Jeddah following a suspected technical issue. The aircraft landed safely at Jeddah Airport at 1958 hrs IST, and all passengers and crew are confirmed safe," the spokesperson said.
