Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: For Mahashivaratri and Uru Habba celebrations on Yemalur Main Road on Wednesday and Thursday, February 26 and 27, vehicular movement has been restricted from Yemalur Kodi Junction to Glory Juice Centre. The restrictions will be in place till 3 pm on Thursday.
Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: Alternate Routes
Vehicles coming from Yemalur Kodi towards Varthur Road can take an alternate route via Kempapura Main Road, Rohan Apartments Road, and then turn towards Varthur Road. Those coming from Varthur Road towards Yemalur Kodi Road can take the road via Rohan Apartments, Kempapura Main Road, and then proceed towards Yemalur Kodi.

Owing to prayers and programmes at the Shivoham Shiva Temple on HAL Old Airport Road, restrictions are in place from 5 am on Wednesday to 12 am on Thursday.
The police have requested commuters to use alternate roads such as Suranjan Das Road, Old Madras Road, and JB Nagar Main Road. Parking is prohibited on both sides of Old Airport Road. Devotees visiting the temple can use the parking facilities at Sir M Vishveshwarya College Grounds near the temple.
Mahashivratri is a highly significant Hindu festival, eclipsing the importance of monthly Shivaratri celebrations. It celebrates the sacred night of Lord Shiva's marriage to Goddess Parvati. Hindus mark this occasion with fasting, devotion and traditional worship of the divine couple.
