Bengaluru Metro Viral Video: A video from Bengaluru metro has gone viral on several social media platforms in which a differently-abled man can be seen begging inside the train. The man wearing a white checkered shirt and skull cap begged from one passenger to another inside the train, seeking the attention of netizens and concerned authorities.
Though it is not clear yet at which station or location the video was captured, the videos appeared to be captured by the passengers in the coach. The Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited sources confirmed that the incident should have happened on Saturday. He further stated that the probe is still underway to know the exact date and time of the incident.
“We are trying to find out where this man boarded. We don’t even know whether he wore the skullcap when he entered the Metro station,” an officer was quoted as saying by PTI. "We don't have all the details with us currently, but our security personnel are examining the footage," an official was quoted as saying by the Deccan Herald. He further said that begging inside the metro is not permitted.

The officials stated that the man featuring in the viral video boarded the metro train on the Purple Line at the Challaghatta metro station. They further stated that he had apparently scanned the QR code to travel in the metro and alighted at the Kengeri metro station.
Earlier, a similar incident had happened in November 2023 where a differently abled man boarded a train and begged for money on the Green Line. Many of the users criticised the act by questioning how he got the entry inside the train in spite of heavy security.
"How can they enter the metro without a ticket?" Isn’t the gate automatica here like Delhi? Don’t tell me they are buying ticket to beg," one of the users wrote on X. "Had the security denied him entry, it would have sparked outrage among the woke crowd, accusing them of insensitivity and injustice toward a disabled individual," another user reacted.
