Bengaluru Water Supply Cut: The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) has alerted residents of Cuvery water supply cuts, starting September 15 and going on till September 17, in view of emergency maintenance works and infrastructure upgrades. A 60-hour shutdown will occur at all pumping stations.
The pumping stations under Cauvery Stage V will be closed during the mentioned time period. Phase-1 and Phase-2 pumping stations of Cauvery Stages I, II, III, and IV will also undergo scheduled work from 6 am on September 16 to 6 am on September 17, as per BWSSB.

All regions relying on the Cauvery project for their drinking water supply will be impacted. Residents are advised to store an adequate amount of water in advance and use it carefully throughout the disruption period.

-BWSSB has requested residents to plan their daily activities in advance to avoid inconvenience.
-BWSSB has also urged residents to use water sparingly during the shutdown period.
In another update, the long-awaited Blue Line of Bengaluru Namma Metro Network is set to be completed by the end of 2027. The stretch officially known as the ORR–Airport Metro Line is progressing in work and is likely to be ready within two years.
The blue line is divided into two sections- Phase 2A and Phase 2B. Phase 2A connects Central Silk Board to K.R. Puram (Krishnarajapura) along the Outer Ring Road, and spans 19.75 kilometres, featuring 13 stations. On the other hand, Phase 2B connects K.R. Puram to Kempegowda International Airport, covering 38.44 kilometres with 17 stations, including a stretch via Hebbal Junction.
