Bengaluru Weather: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that Bengaluru and several other cities of Karnataka are expected to receive rainfall in the upcoming days. It further stated that the temperature in these areas is expected to dip significantly due to the rain. The weather department informed that the rain is expected due to moisture from the Bay of Bengal.
The weather department stated that the city will have cloudy skies and foggy mornings in the upcoming week. "Light rain likely to occur at isolated places over Dakshina Kannada, Kodagu, Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Ramanagara, Mandya, Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru Urban, Chikkamagaluru, Kolar and Hassan districts. Dry weather likely to prevail over North Interior Karnataka and the remaining districts of Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Shallow fog/mist very likely at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka," IMD stated in its daily bulletin.

Apart from this, the weather department stated that several areas, including Bellandur, Krishnarajapuram, Whitefield, Kalyan Nagar, and Jalahalli in North Bengaluru have already received a spell of light rain. The IMD stated that the temperature in Bengaluru is likely to increase in the later half of the upcoming week. While the minimum temperature on Sunday is expected to be 17 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday is expected to remain at 18 degrees Celsius.
Earlier on Friday, the IMD informed that Bengaluru will experience a dip in temperature in the next few days. “Over interior Karnataka, there is likely to be a fall in minimum temperature by 2-3 degrees Celsius from 17.01.2025 to 22.01.2025,” IMD stated. The weather department has also stated that the temperature in the northern states is also expected to dip because of a western disturbance. It stated that several regions of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir are expected to experience snowfall and rain in the upcoming days.
