Bengaluru Weather: The southwest monsoon advanced over Bengaluru on Monday, bringing heavy rain and thunderstorms in several parts of the city. A heavy downpour led to waterlogging, traffic snarls and flight disruptions. However, the India Meteorological Department has forecast moderate to light rain in Bengaluru, bringing relief from heavy spells of rain. Karnataka’s capital city is expected to experience relatively stable weather throughout the week, with the maximum temperature hovering around 27-29 degrees Celsius.
Bengaluru Weather: Rain, Thunderstorm Expected Till August 10
The weather department has forecast moderate to light rain accompanied by thunderstorms and generally cloudy skies throughout the week in Bengaluru. Though the IMD has not issued an alert for rain yet, the city may witness one or two spells of heavy rain over the coming week. The residents are advised to remain cautious and take preventive measures to avoid inconvenience caused by heavy rain.

The daytime temperature is likely to hover around 29 degrees Celsius, while the nighttime temperature will hold steady at 20 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels will range between 70 per cent and 85 per cent, contributing to a cool and moist atmosphere. The weather is likely to remain cloudy with one or two spells of heavy downpour.
August 7 (Thursday): The city is set to experience generally cloudy skies with moderate rain throughout the day. One of two spells of heavy rain may disrupt outdoor plans.
August 8 (Friday): Cloudy and rainy weather conditions are expected to prevail. The weather department has forecasted light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms and overcast skies.
August 9 (Saturday): Similar weather conditions are expected on Saturday, with the maximum temperature hovering around 28 degrees Celsius. Moderate rain is likely to lash.
August 10 (Sunday): Though the IMD has issued no weather warnings yet, the residents may witness cloudy skies with thundershowers. Rain is expected over the weekend.
The sudden downpour in the early part of this week led to waterlogging and traffic snarls in different parts of the city. Several airlines issued advisories warning passengers of potential disruptions. However, a relief from heavy downpour is expected over the coming week.
