Bengaluru Weather: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday predicted a dip in temperature and cold wave in Bengaluru over the next two to three days. Apart from Bengaluru, several other cities of Karnataka are also expected to face similar situations in the upcoming days. The weather department also stated that Silicon City is likely to witness foggy mornings.
The weather department stated that Bengaluru will experience chilly weather on Sunday, and the weather will be similar in the next few days. While the minimum temperature of the city is likely to remain around 14 degrees Celsius, the maximum temperature is expected to hover around 26 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

The city is experiencing record cold as there was a -2 degree Celsius dip in comparison to the normal temperature on January 4. The IMD informed that the minimum and maximum temperatures in Bengaluru were 14 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Besides, several other cities of Karnataka, including Bidar, Kalaburgi, and Vijayapura, are facing similar weather conditions. The weather department stated that these regions are expected to experience intense cold wave-like situations during the next 2 days.
“Minimum temperatures are likely to fall by 2°C for the next 2 days over Interior Karnataka, and thereafter no large change in minimum temperature over Interior Karnataka. No large change in minimum temperatures in Coastal Karnataka,” the IMD stated.
The IMD stated that the cold wave in most of the northern states has resulted in a significant dip in temperature in Bengaluru. The weather department further predicted that the residents of Bengaluru will experience a lowest minimum temperature of almost 10.2 degrees Celsius in comparison to the average minimum temperature of 15.8 degrees Celsius in the month of January.
The IMD also stated that the silicon city will experience such cold after a decade. As per the IMD's historical records, the lowest minimum temperature ever recorded in the capital city of Karnataka is 7.8 degrees Celsius on January 13, 1884.
