Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra: Congress leader and Waynad MP Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday again took a swipe on the pran pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Temple, which took place yesterday in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya, saying that 'it was BJP's political programme.' His remarks came as he was addressing a press conference in Assam during the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.
The former Congress president also lambasted the ideology of PM Modi and Rashtriya Swyamsevak Sangha (RSS), while comparing them with the ideology of the INDIA bloc - the opposition's ambitious alliance to defeat BJP in upcoming general elections.
"On one side there is Narendra Modi-RSS, on the other side there is the INDIA bloc, which is an ideology," Rahul Gandhi said.
एक तरफ नरेंद्र मोदी-RSS है, दूसरी तरफ INDIA है।

INDIA एक विचारधारा, एक सोच है।
आज INDIA के पास हिंदुस्तान का तकरीबन 60% वोट है।

"Do anything.. say bad or good, harass me, but I will not back down. I will keep fighting for the truth. Even if the whole world stands against me, I don't care. Once I make up my mind, no one can stop me from fighting for my ideology," the Congress leader added.

In the row over the Assam government's treatment of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, he said that the yatra will get benefit from what Assam CM is doing.
"Yatra will benefit from what Assam CM is doing, it's getting publicity; Nyay Yatra has become the main issue in Assam," he said.
"Clear problem in Assam, chief minister of this state one of the most corrupt CMs in the country. Stopping me from visiting the temple, university, preventing 'padayatra' part of intimidation tactics; we don't get intimidated," he added.
Rahul Gandhi also invited the opposition partners in the INDIA bloc to join him on the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, saying that it would boost the morale of the 'yatra' members.
"We have invited INDIA parties to join yatra, we will feel good if our partners join us," he said.
Rahul Gandhi's presser came as earlier today, the members of Congress got into a skirmish with the Assam Police after the latter tried to enter Guwahati. Nearly 5000 Congress workers clashed with police who were trying to put up barricades in front of the party cadres. While Congress workers tried to remove the barriers, the police resorted to the lathicharge.
