Bhopal Metro Orange Line Update: The priority corridor of Bhopal Metro’s orange line is set to begin services on December 21, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh announced while speaking to the media at the Khajuraho Convention Centre on Monday.
“On December 21, we will gift Bhopal residents with the Metro train and several other development initiatives. On December 25, we will inaugurate industrial projects worth Rs 2 lakh crore on the occasion of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth centenary,” CM Yadav said.
Bhopal Metro Ticket Prices: Check Details
The Bhopal metro is set to be affordable for passengers as it aims to provide a 100 per cent free ride for the first week after inauguration. meaning commuters will not have to pay a single penny.
Subsequently, Bhopal metro fare will mirror that of Indore metro, with ticket fares ranging from Rs 20 to Rs 40, making it affordable for every class of society and transforming public commute in Bhopal.
How Will Bhopal Metro Help Commuters
Once finished, the project will cut traffic jams in the city and make journeys faster, safer, and more predictable. It will be a major relief for students, young professionals, and daily commuters who waste hours stuck in traffic every day.
Bhopal Metro Priority Orange Corridor Route
- The first phase of the metro, which will be operational, will run on a stretch of 7.3 km.
- Only one of the two Bhopal metro lines, the blue line and the priority orange corridor, will be open for the common people.
- Priority Orange Corridor will begin from Subhash Nagar to AIIMS.
- Earlier, trial runs happened on the Orange line, and it is now almost launch-ready.
Bhopal Priority Corridor Stoppages
Orange Line consists of 16 Stations that are- Karond Chauraha (Terminus), Krishi Upaj Mandi, DIG Bungalow, Sindhi Colony, Nadra Bus Stand, Bhopal Railway Station, Aishbagh (Interchange for Blue Line), Pul Bogda (Interchange for Blue Line), Subhash Nagar (Interchange for Blue Line), Kendriya Vidyalaya, Board Office Chauraha, MP Nagar, Rani Kamlapati Railway Station (Habibganj), DRM Office, Alkapuri, AIIMS (Terminus).
