In a heart-wrenching incident, three teenagers lost their lives after being hit by a train while engrossed in a mobile game near Mansa Tola in Bihar’s West Champaran district. The accident occurred on Thursday along at the Narkatiaganj-Muzaffarpur railway section under the jurisdiction of the Mufassil police station.
Three teenagers who were crushed by a train were playing the mobile game (PUBG) in Bihar’s West Champaran district. The teenagers, identified as Furkan Alam from Railway Gumti, Sameer Alam from Bari Tola, and Habibullah Ansari, were reportedly wearing earphones, while sitting on the railway tracks which prevented them from hearing the train’s approach.
Local residents were left in shock and grief as hundreds gathered at the scene of the tragedy. The victims’ families have since taken the bodies home to perform burial rites. Authorities have started an investigation and are working to determine the exact circumstances that led to the accident.

Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Vivek Deep and the Railway Police have begun a detailed investigation into the incident. Speaking about the circumstances, SDPO Vivek Deep said, "We are establishing communication to recover the dead bodies for the post-mortem. We are also trying to take statements from the victims’ family members to find out the actual circumstances of the accident. Preliminary investigation reveals that they were playing games on the mobile phones while sitting on the railway track."
This incident has also raised concerns about the dangers of playing mobile games in unsafe environments, especially on railway tracks. Authorities have urged parents to be vigilant about their children’s gaming habits and emphasised the importance of staying alert in public spaces.
