Delhi Assembly Election: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to begin his campaign for the Delhi assembly election on Friday. PM Modi will address a crowd in Rohini's Japani Park and will also gift several projects worth Rs 4500 crore to the people of Delhi. Modi will also inaugurate 1,675 newly constructed flats for residents of JJ clusters.

Earlier in April 2024, Modi stated that he wanted the people of Delhi to shift in apartments from the slums. He is also set to hand over the keys of the apartments to the eligible beneficiaries at Swabhiman Apartments in Ashok Vihar. The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has been running the slum rehabilitation project for the past few years. The inauguration of the newly constructed flats will also mark the completion of the second successful slum by the authority. The authority earlier stated that the motive behind this project is to provide a better lifestyle to the people living in slums.
