Arvind Kejriwal, former Delhi chief minister and Aam Aadmi Party national convenor, and four members of his family were marked as the “Unmapped with Last SIR” category in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise. Kejriwal and his kin were served notices by the Delhi Election Commission under the SIR drive, triggering a political row.

Kejriwal, his wife Sunita Kejriwal, father Gobind Ram Kejriwal, mother Gita Devi and son Pulkit Kejriwal were among those who received an SIR notice under the Unmapped category.

The office of Delhi’s Chief Electoral Officer has issued notices under the SIR process to Kejriwal and his family. Kejriwal is a voter in the New Delhi-40 Assembly constituency.

According to documents from the Delhi Election Commission, among the 110 voters of ‘Part-51, KG Marg’, in the New Delhi Assembly constituency who have been issued notices, the names of Arvind Kejriwal and five members of his family are included.

AAP Slams Election Commission Of India

The AAP targeted the Election Commission of India, asking has the move taken to keep the Supreme Lord happy."Is everything happening in this country just to keep the Supreme Lord happy? @ECISVEEP, how is it possible that the names of three-time Delhi Chief Minister @ArvindKejriwal Ji and his family members are missing from the Delhi voter list?" the Punjab ruling party posted on X.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta Also Received A Notice

Under the SIR process, notices were issued not only to the opposition leader but also to the current Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta. Her Shalimar Bagh voter list entry was marked as having a "logical discrepancy."

However, after investigation and document verification, her name has been validated. The Chief Minister's name will remain on the final voter list, to be published on November 4, 2026. Kejriwal and his family have been flagged as "unmapped."

47.6 Lakh Names Removed From Voter List

A massive SIR 2026 drive is underway to update the voter list in Delhi. Around 47.6 lakh names were removed from the draft voter list published on August 31, 2026. The last date for filing any kind of claims or objections in the voter list has been fixed as 30 September 2026. After all the checks and verifications, the final voter list of Delhi will be published on November 4, 2026.
