September 15 is the last date for eligible voters in Jharkhand to submit Form 6 for inclusion in the electoral roll under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR). After the deadline, applications for voter registration through Form 6 will no longer be accepted.
As of Saturday, a total of 4,54,189 Form 6 applications had been received across the state. The Election Commission has also received 5,302 Form 7 applications seeking deletion of names from the voter list and 2,88,090 Form 8 applications for corrections to names, addresses and other details. The processing of these applications will begin after September 15.

Of the 31,892 polling stations across Jharkhand, 75 have not received a single Form 6 application for voter registration. Ranchi accounts for 62 of these polling stations, the highest among all districts.
75 Polling Stations Receive No Form 6 Applications
Deoghar, Godda, Hazaribagh, Dhanbad and Gumla have one polling station each where no Form 6 application has been received. Sahibganj has three such centres, while Dumka has four.
No polling station in the remaining districts has recorded zero Form 6 applications. At the assembly constituency level, Kanke has the highest number of polling stations without a single Form 6 application, with 52 such centres.
How Many Form 6 Applications Were Received?
The data shows that 5,591 polling stations received between one and five Form 6 applications, while 8,618 centres received six to 10 applications.
Another 11,329 polling stations recorded between 11 and 20 applications. A total of 4,076 centres received 21 to 30 applications, while 2,203 polling stations received more than 30 Form 6 applications.
CEO Appeals To Eligible Voters
State Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar has urged all eligible citizens, particularly young people whose names are not included in the draft electoral roll, to approach ECNET or their Booth Level Officer (BLO) and submit Form 6 along with the declaration form.
Citizens who have completed 18 years of age on the October 1, 2026 eligibility date have been asked to ensure their names are included in the SIR voter list by submitting Form 6 by September 15.
Why Form 6 Matters Under SIR
The voter list prepared through the SIR will be preserved as a permanent electoral record. According to the Chief Electoral Officer, eligible citizens who turn 18 on the current qualifying date but do not submit Form 6 will not have their names included in the current SIR voter list.
Kumar also said voters and their sons and daughters are currently receiving exemptions from submitting certain documents after being mapped to the 2003 SIR. He added that children would also benefit from the exercise in the future.
