The Bihar government has introduced a Smart Citizens portal for its citizens to provide them with online services. The portalhttps://citizenservicesportal.bihar.gov.in/portal/ comes with an ample amount of benefits for the citizens. The new features in the Bihar Police portal provide online, one-click access to citizen services, including filing FIRs, character verification, and reporting missing persons. These digital updates, engineered with the CCTNS database, make police services more convenient and transparent.

What Are The New Features

Citizens can now access services such as tenant verification and NOCs via the official digital portal. They can also file complaints and view the essential details of the FIR in an online mode. The people can also obtain a copy of an FIR without having to log into the portal. The portal aims to ensure transparency and provide prompt information to its citizens.

People can access information on top criminals and absconders in the district. They will also be able to access safety apps and register for security services.

Citizens can report missing persons, file complaints about lost materials, and also check the status of their vehicles. These features will help eliminate the need for the public to visit the police station for even minor needs.

 Additionally, they can utilise the Jan Samadhan app and portal to file grievances at district/state levels.

One can use the tollfree number 1800 345 62845 for grievance support.  The portal has also provided some helpline numbers, such as :

Women Helpline: 1091

Cyber Crime Reporting: 1930

Alcohol Reporting: 15545

How To Access The Services

Firstly, one needs to visit the official Bihar Police Citizen Portal.

After this, they need to register or log in as a citizen.

Select the desired services from the dashboard, for example, FIR, verification, etc.

Then, they need to fill in the required details and submit.
