In a tragic incident, a seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a teenage neighbour in Bihar’s Munger. The incident reportedly occurred late Sunday evening, with the girl's mother filing a complaint at the Shampur police station naming the accused teenager. 

As per the FIR registered in this matter, when the child’s mother had gone outside to attend to some work and left her daughter at home alone, the accused teen entered the house and sexually assaulted her.

Upon returning home, the mother saw that her daughter was in a very bad state and heard about the incident. Subsequently, she immediately visited the Shampur police station and filed a case. 

The Haveli Kharagpur SDPO Anil Kumar and Circle Inspector Arvind Kumar went to the girl’s village with the police team and recorded her statement for an inquiry. 

The Case has Been Registered And Accused Apprehended 

A forensic team had also come to the village and collected the evidence. SHO Nitish Kumar stated that a case was registered based on the mother’s complaint, and the child was admitted to Sadar Hospital for examination, whereas the accused has been taken into police custody for questioning.

Accused Said To Be 15-Year-Old Relative of Victim 

SP Syed Imran Masood said that after receiving the information regarding the incident, both the police and the forensic team immediately went to the village. Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused is a 15-year-old boy who is reportedly related to the victim.
