Jan Suraaj Party chief Prashant Kishor, who is leading the Jansuraj Padyatra said that being a Bihari does not mean being “stupid” and “illiterate” and that the boys of Bihar were not born to work as labourers in other states. He asked the people to be proud of their state which has been the land of knowledge since ancient times. He also advised them to recognize the power of their vote and make better choices for their future.

“Today when we go out, people say that Bihari means stupid, Bihari means illiterate. We are not illiterate and stupid. The leaders and this system here have kept us illiterate over the years,” Prasant Kishor said.

“Once you wake up, I assure you that the boys who are working as labourers in factories of other states will open new factories in Bihar and people from other states will visit here for labour,” he said while addressing a rally in Darbhanga.

He said that the leaders and system in Bihar have kept the people illiterate and stupid and that they do not care about their education or employment. He said that once the people wake up, they will be able to set up their industries and that the boys from other states will come to work as labourers in Bihar.

“You take a resolution. Eat half your stomach, but educate your children. Your life will improve only if children are educated,” he urged the audience present at the rally.
