A BITS Pilani Goa student was found hanging in his hostel room inside the campus, on Thursday, police said. Cops suspect it to be a case of suicide. This is the third such case at the institution's Goa campus in five months.

The student, who belonged to Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, was found hanging in his hostel room at 10:15 am, an official from Verna police said on Friday, as per a PTI report.

"The 20-year-old student was pursuing a dual-degree programme, and exams were currently underway at the college," a senior police officer said as per the news agency. The police registered a case of unnatural death, and a probe is underway.
