Karnataka Weather: According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) multiple districts in Karnataka will witness rain, gusty winds over the next two days, Saturday and Sunday. Showers lashed Bengaluru on Thursday, bringing much needed respite to the residents from the scorching heat. Kammanahalli Main Road, Mariyappa Road, HRBR Layout, Kalyan Nagar, and Banaswadi areas were affected. As per IMD light to moderate rain is likely across Dakshina Kannada and Udupi, with some rain also expected in Uttara Kannada, Belagavi, Haveri, Dharwad, Gadag, and Koppal districts in north interior Karnataka on Friday. Gusty winds reaching up to 50 kmph are also forecast. All districts in south interior Karnataka are expected to see light to moderate rain accompanied by gusty winds.

Bengaluru Weather Forecast
Bengaluru made up for the dry spell over March with a shower-filled April. The Silicon Valley of India generally sees 54.3mm of rainfall in April, but this year it received a substantial 86.3mm which is an excess of 59 per cent.
Bengaluru weather is in for a wet start to May, with the Indian Meteorological Department anticipating rain and thunderstorms over the first week of May. From May 1 to May 3, Sporadic rain is expected in the afternoon and evening. May 4 is most likely to remain cloudy. The intensity of rain is likely to pick up on May 5, with consistent rain on May 6.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) and the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC), the state saw a dramatic shift, from deficit to surplus rainfall in just a month.
The IMD has advised the residents in the affected regions to remain cautious, especially in areas prone to strong winds. The rainfall marks the beginning of pre-monsoon activity and is expected to provide some relief from the scorching summer temperatures.
