UP Weather Update: According to the Meteorological Department light rain, accompanied by gusty winds is likely in Lucknow and surrounding districts till May 3. Due to the movement of clouds and drizzle at some places, the maximum temperature has dropped by about five degrees Celsius.
The maximum temperature has dropped below 40 degrees Celsius in many districts including Lucknow, Barabanki, Hardoi, Gorakhpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur City, Varanasi, Ballia, Bahraich and Etawah. There is a possibility of light rain and gusty winds in Lucknow and surrounding districts from May 1 to 3, said meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh, as per a jagran.com report.
UP Weather Forecast
Gusty winds with a speed of 40 to 50 kmph will blow in most districts of Purvanchal including Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Kabir Nagar, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau and Ballia along with thundering and lightning.
A warning of strong winds along with thunder and lightning has been issued in Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharth Nagar and its surrounding areas. The weather in Uttar Pradesh will change again from May 4.
North India Weather
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that most of the states are likely to witness higher temperatures in the upcoming few weeks. The weather department stated that temperatures in several northern states, including Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab, are set to witness a hike in temperature. While the IMD assured that the occasional rains will provide some relief to the residents, the temperature is likely to be higher for most of the days.
Delhi-NCR To Receive Light Rain
The weather department stated that Delhi-NCR will receive light to heavy rain, cloudy skies, and thunderstorms for the next three days. It stated that the latest change in weather will reduce the temperature, providing relief to the residents from the scorching heat. Apart from rain and breeze, the residents are also expected to experience dust storms for the next few days. The weather department advised the residents to follow the guidelines and avoid unnecessary outings, adding that the temperature will rise again after three days.
