Karnataka Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that several districts of Karnataka are likely to witness light to heavy rainfall in the coming days. As per the weather department, the coastal regions are set to experience thunderstorms and gusty winds as well. The IMD also stated that the capital city Bengaluru is also expected to witness light rainfall for the next two to three days.
Rain Likely In Several Districts
While providing details, the weather department stated that rainfall is likely in several districts, including Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada. It further stated that similar weather condition is expected in other regions, such as Bagalkot, Belgaum, Bidar, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Kalaburagi, Koppal, Raichur, Vijayapura and Yadgiri districts of the northern interior.
Apart from this, heavy rainfall is expected in several parts of Tumkur, Chikkaballapur, Kolar, Ramanagara, Chamarajanagar, Bangalore Rural, and Bangalore districts. The IMD asserted that light to moderate rainfall is likely in Chitradurga, Bellary, Chikkamagaluru, Shivamogga, Hassan, Davangere, Kodagu, Mandya, Mysore and Vijayanagar districts as well.
Bengaluru Weather Update
The weather department has also stated that the residents of Bengaluru are likely to witness cloudy skies, adding that light rain is likely in the late hours. However, heavy rainfall is expected in several regions on Sunday, causing waterlogging in the lower regions. While the maximum temperature is likely to be calculated at 27 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is expected to remain around 19 degrees Celsius.
As per the forecast, a warning of heavy rain has been issued in 20 states, including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Himachal, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala.

The residents have been advised to follow the guidelines and limit their outings during the rainfall to avoid any inconveniences.
