A crucial meeting of chief ministers from all BJP-ruled states is expected to take place at the end of July to analyse the Lok Sabha poll results declared on June 4, according to news agency ANI. The gathering will also be attended by key BJP figures including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President Nadda, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

The BJP's performance in the recent Lok Sabha elections did not meet expectations, with the party falling short of the majority mark. To address this, the BJP has convened a meeting of its top leaders and chief ministers to discuss the election outcomes.

“A meeting of Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states is likely to be held at the end of July. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP President JP Nadda, and Home Minister Amit Shah will attend the meeting. The discussion will focus on the results of the Lok Sabha elections and coordination between the government and the organisation,” news agency ANI reported citing sources.

In the elections held on June 4, the BJP secured 240 seats, while the Congress won 99 seats. Despite the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) achieving a majority in the Lok Sabha, the party experienced big upset in three Hindi-speaking states. This meeting is seen as a response to those setbacks, aiming to refine their approach and strengthen their position.
