Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a high-level meeting over the preparedness of 62 days long Amarnath Yatra, which will commence on July 1 and culminate on August 31.

"The government has taken serious note of the threat received by senior leader Sharad Pawar on Twitter and I have personally spoken to senior police officers and have given instructions for investigation. Sharad Pawar is a senior leader and we all respect him. Their safety will be fully taken care of. Instructions have been given to the police to increase security if necessary," Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde said, according to ANI.

"They (Congress) can change syllabus, they're in power but they can't change the history. Everyone knows about Sangh Parivaar's patriotism...everywhere Sangh Parivaar's ideology is getting stronger, that can't be changed...our ideology is patriotism and does Congress want to eliminate patriotism and want to make this 'Mughalistaan'?...," Karnataka BJP chief CT Ravi said, according to ANI.

"I want to tell the Punjab CM that make sure that jailed criminals don't execute crimes outside jail...from Moose Wala's murder to athlete's murder, jailed gangsters have hands in it," Union Minister Anurag Thakur said, according to ANI.

The annual pilgrimage to the cave shrine of Amarnath will begin this year on July 1 and will continue till August 31.

Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Intelligence Bureau chief Tapan Deka, Central Reserve Police Force Director General SL Thaosen and officers concerned in the Ministry of Home Affairs as well as those from Jammu and Kashmir Police and administration will also attend the meeting to be held in the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Mumbai Murder: Accused has been brought to Naya Nagar Police Station. He is being questioned by senior officials of Naya Nagar Police Station. Sister of the deceased has also come to the Police Station. The accused was not cooperating in questioning earlier, ANI reported.

"We have called for strict probe and action against love jihad cases. Today we will chair a high-level meeting also with DGP and other officials," Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said, according to ANI.

"PM Modi has not just changed the govt but also the culture of politics...from 'Parivaarvad', PM Modi brought in a culture where a person from a humble background can become PM, party chief, state chief and CM. From vote bank politics we have come to report card politics...," BJP chief JP Nadda said, according to ANI.

"I received a message on WhatsApp for Pawar Sahab. He has been threatened through a website. So, I have come to the Police demanding justice. I urge Maharashtra Home Minister and Union Home Minister. Such actions are low-level politics and this should stop..," NCP MP Supriya Sule said, according to ANI.

"I am not blaming the ED officials because they are only doing their duty. Their political bosses are getting sleepless nights owing to the huge success of the Nobojowar Yatra," TMC National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee said, according to ANI.
