The Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand will begin on May 10. Devotees have been busy signing up online to take part in the pilgrimage. Till now, 16 lakh devotees have registered online for the state's Char Dham Yatra.

As the home of numerous temples and a year-round destination for devotees, Uttarakhand is also referred to as Devbhoomi or the Land of the Gods. The Char Dham Yatra is one of the most well-known religious pilgrimages, though there are many other sites and circuits that devotees visit.

The word "dham" in Hindi refers to places of worship, and "char" means four. The tour of four sacred locations—Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath—is a part of this Yatra.

The authorities are making the required preparations to guarantee that pilgrims have a trouble-free Char Dham Yatra and to maintain crowd control. The Uttarakhand Tourism Department has set a daily cap of 18,000 pilgrim registrations for the Kedarnath Yatra, 20,000 for Badrinath, 11,000 for Gangotri, and 9,000 for Yamunotri Dham.

The Char Dham Yatra is reportedly scheduled to start on May 10. Till now, 16 lakh devotees have registered online, and every date till May 31 has been reserved. The dates for June will now be available if you would like to register now.

The booking of Heli Sewa, a Ministry of Civil Aviation initiative, is also in full swing as devotees seek helicopter services. This option has grown in popularity, as evidenced by the record-breaking number of Heli bookings.
