Uttarakhand Char Dham Yatra 2025: The Char Dham Yatra 2025 is set to begin on April 30, with registration now open for pilgrims in Haridwar. As part of the preparation for the spiritual journey, the Uttarakhand government has established 20 registration counters to accommodate a large number of devotees heading to the four sacred temples in the Garhwal Himalayas.
The Char Dham Yatra is one of India’s most important pilgrimages, taking devotees to the temples of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. The registration counters, which opened today, will allow up to 1,000 pilgrims to register offline each day. The process is free of charge and is designed to make the journey more organised and safe. Special provisions have been made for senior citizens, people with disabilities (divyangs), and foreign nationals.
The official opening dates for the temples are as follows:
- Yamunotri: April 30, 2025
- Gangotri: April 30, 2025
- Kedarnath: May 2, 2025
- Badrinath: May 4, 2025
The Uttarakhand government has implemented various measures, including parking arrangements, slot management, and real-time updates to ensure the yatra is carried out smoothly. These efforts aim to enhance the convenience and safety of all pilgrims.
