Chennai News: The mysterious murder of Srinivasulu, also known as Rayudu, a former driver and personal assistant to Jana Sena Party leader Vinutha Kota, has taken a political turn following the emergence of a video allegedly recorded by the victim before his death.

On July 8, Rayudu’s body was found in Chennai’s Cooum River with marks of strangulation and torture. Police initially believed the motive was personal, suggesting that Rayudu had leaked sensitive information about Vinutha and her husband, Chandrababu. Based on this, Chennai Police arrested five individuals, including the couple.

New Twist After Rayudu’s 20-Minute Video Surfaces

However, the case gained new momentum after a 20-minute video surfaced, purportedly filmed by Rayudu before his death. In the clip, Rayudu allegedly accused Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA Bojjala Sudheer Reddy from Srikalahasti of being indirectly linked to a conspiracy. The victim claimed he was offered around Rs 30 lakh by Reddy’s associates to obtain compromising footage of Vinutha and her husband or to harm them.

The emergence of this video has fuelled suspicions of a larger political rivalry, hinting that Rayudu’s murder may have deeper connections than initially believed. Investigators are currently verifying the authenticity of the footage and exploring whether it was recorded voluntarily or under duress.

TDP MLA Sudheer Reddy Denies Involvement, Calls Allegations Politically Motivated

Responding to the allegations, MLA Sudheer Reddy strongly denied any involvement in Rayudu’s death. “I swear on God and my children, I have no connection with Rayudu’s murder,” he said emotionally during a visit to the Tirumala temple. He questioned the timing and authenticity of the video, suggesting it could have been AI-generated or created under threat.

“This is a politically motivated campaign meant to tarnish my image,” Reddy stated, adding that he was willing to cooperate with any investigation. He described the circulation of the video months after Vinutha’s arrest as an attempt to mislead the public and divert attention.

Vinutha Kota Claims Innocence, Says Case Is Politically Driven

Meanwhile, Vinutha Kota, who is currently out on conditional bail, also released a video message denying any role in Rayudu’s death. She described the allegations against her as a political setup orchestrated by opponents. “The court granted me bail because there was no direct evidence linking me to the murder,” she said.

Police are now re-examining the case in light of the new evidence to determine whether Rayudu’s death was part of a larger conspiracy involving political and personal motives.
