Chennai: A minor house help in Tamil Nadu’s Chennai was allegedly tortured and murdered by a couple, police said on Saturday. The couple has been detained in connection with the case. The 15-year-old girl hailed from Thanjavur and was found dead in the toilet of the house in the Aminjikarai area of the city, according to reports.The accused couple has been identified as Mohammad Nishad and Nasiya who allegedly fled from the spot to some other place after the alleged crime.
According to the police, there were wounds reportedly caused due to branding with an iron box. The girl’s body was subjected to inhuman treatment including burns from hot iron and cigarette butts. She later succumbed to her injuries, according to the police.
The Aminjikarai police have registered a case and are investigating. The victim’s mother is a widow.
In an unrelated update recently, a murder incident has come to light from Delhi's Palam that has created panic among the residents in the area. According to jagran.com, a tenant murdered the landlord and then stuffed the body in a sack and kept it in the room. The tenant also locked the room from outside and left.
According to the report, the incident was revealed when a strong stench started coming from the room. Due to the unbearable stench, the people around made a PCR call to the police. On the PCR call, the police was told that a strong stench is coming from a room. Soon after the information of the incident, the police and the fire brigade team reached the spot.

The fire brigade team broke the lock outside the suspicious house and entered inside; they found that there were two rooms. One room was locked from outside. When the firemen broke the lock of that room, they saw that a sack containing clothes was lying on the floor of the room. According to the report, such a strong stench was coming from the sack that it was difficult for the firemen and the police to stand there even for a minute.
When the cloth was removed and looked at, a body was found in a sack, which was lying in a very rotten state. The body was identified as 55-year-old Devdas.
