Chennai Weather Alert: Chennai is experiencing monsoon conditions, with light to moderate rain expected in various areas on Wednesday. Although temperatures are not expected to drop drastically, a slight decrease in temperature is likely.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts the maximum temperature will hover around 30 degrees Celsius, with the minimum temperature dropping to 21 degrees Celsius, accompanied by moderate rainfall across the city.
Chennai Weather Tomorrow: Check Area-Wise Temperature Forecast
- Chennai-Nungambakkam: A generally cloudy sky with light rain, and a maximum temperature of 29 degrees Celsius.
- Chennai-Meenambakkam: A generally cloudy sky with light rain, and a maximum temperature of 28 degrees Celsius.
- Chennai-Ennore: A generally cloudy sky with light rain, and a maximum temperature of 29 degrees Celsius.
- Chennai-Madhavaram: A Yellow alert has been issued, with a partly cloudy sky, occasional spells of rain or thundershowers, and a maximum temperature of 30 degrees Celsius.

Looking ahead to later this week, the IMD has not issued any new warnings or alerts for Chennai. Rain or thunderstorms are not expected in the coming days, and temperatures are expected to remain similar to those forecast for tomorrow.
Additionally, no announcements have been made regarding the closure of schools on December 9. Students are advised to stay updated for any important changes.

After a dry November, December saw flooding in Chennai. A lower atmospheric circulation over southern Tamil Nadu is now expected to bring light to moderate rain and thunderstorms to parts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry-Karaikal through the 18th.
