According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the weather is all set to change once again in Chennai and nearby regions. As per the weather body, light rain along with strong winds will occur on Monday, April 6. A yellow alert has been issued in this regard.

Chennai Weather Today

On Monday, Chennai’s minimum temperature was recorded at 35 degrees Celsius, but it is set to drop to 26 degrees by evening. The weather department has forecasted light to moderate rain along with thunderstorms in the coming week in Chennai and Tamil Nadu.

  • Monday, April 6 - Generally cloudy with moderate rain, daytime high of approx 35 degrees Celsius, night low of approx 26 degrees Celsius.
  • Tuesday, April 7- Partly cloudy with a slight increase in temperature with a high of approx 36 degrees Celsius and a low of approx 26 degrees Celsius; warnings not issued.
  • Wednesday, April 8 - Partly cloudy with possibility of moderate rain or thunderstorms (with lightning), with a high and low temperatures around 36 and 27 degrees Celsius, respectively.
