The BJP has defeated Congress in the Dhamtari Mayoral elections. As per the results, BJP candidate Jagdish Ramu Rohra has won the mayoral post by a big margin of over 34,000 votes.

BJP's Manjusha Bhagat secured victory with a margin of 11,063 votes to become the Ambikapur Municipal Corporation. Manjusha Bhagat (BJP) received a total of 42,836 votes, defeating Congress candidate and former Mayor Ajay Tirkey, who secured 31,773 votes. BJP now holds power in 31 out of 48 wards in the city. Congress won 15 wards, while 2 independent candidates emerged victorious.

BJP candidate Jivvardhan Chauhan has won the Raigarh Municipal Corporation mayoral election. A tea seller by profession, Chauhan secured victory by defeating Congress candidate Janaki Katju. His win marks a significant achievement, highlighting his journey from a small business owner to a political leader.

The vote counting for the Raipur Municipal Corporation election continues, with BJP candidate Meenal Choubey maintaining a strong lead after the 10th round of counting.

The fate of over 10,000 candidates, including those from main rivals Congress and the BJP, was locked in EVMs on February 11. The results will be announced today. The elections were held in 10 municipal corporations, 49 councils and 114 Nagar Panchayats in which 72.19 per cent voter turnout was recorded.

The Raipur Municipal Corporation saw a contest between BJP's Meenal Choubey and Congress' Dipti Dubey for the post of mayor. Dipti Dubey is the wife of former mayor Pramod Dubey.
