CJP Protest: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Tuesday escalated its ongoing protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar by announcing a unique "diaper donation drive", seeking resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET-UG paper leak. Announcing the campaign on X, the CJP aimed to intensify pressure on the government following their continuous sit-in protest against examination-related irregularities since Saturday.

CJP announces 'Diaper donation drive'

They appealed to their supporters to bring diapers to the Jantar Mantar protest site to participate in an evening demonstration titled, "Diaper A Day Keeps Leaks Away." The supporters have been asked to write their demands for Pradhan's resignation directly onto the diapers before submitting them. The post by the CJP read: “Diaper A Day Keeps Leaks Away. Launching a Diaper Donation Drive - today at Jantar Mantar, 6 PM. Bring a diaper, write your demand for his resignation on it, and we'll make sure it reaches education minister.”

Abhijeet Dipke makes major allegations

As the agitation entered its fourth consecutive day today, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke alleged that the Delhi Police attempted to forcefully move barricades late Monday night to "squeeze the protest site into a smaller area." While the Delhi Police did not issue an immediate response to these containment allegations, Dipke asserted that large crowds remained at the venue through the night despite it being a working day.

Addressing protesters, he questioned the response towards students affected by examination issues. Dipke emphasised that authorities were "punishing students" while failing to act against those involved in paper leaks. Candles were also lit at the venue in memory of students who died by suicide following the paper-leak controversy. Students, aspirants and members of Left student organisations, including Students' Federation of India, All India Students' Association, All India Students' Federation (AISF) are participating in the protest.

Pradhan strikes back

Meanwhile, Pradhan labelled the CJP as the "B team of disruptive elements," accusing them of acting on behalf of forces aiming to create chaos following protests over the NEET-UG paper leak. In an interview with NDTV, the education minister alleged that these protestors, whom he claims are rejected by voters, are attempting to undermine the education system and divide the country.

“They are the B team of disruptive elements. Those who were rejected in democracy have come in disguise and are now after the system. They raise slogans for those who want to divide the country. They have been identified," Pradhan said.
