Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the youth political movement Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), has alleged that his personal Instagram was hacked. He further alleged that the accounts linked with the movement have faced fresh restrictions in the past few days. The allegations came as the CJP overtook several political parties, including the BJP and Congress, in Instagram following. Dipke has also alleged that he was threatened and was offered money to take the movement back.
As per Dipke, he lost access to his Instagram account for hours and was unable to log in despite multiple requests to Meta, the parent company of the social media site. He alleged that along with his personal account, the Instagram profile of the movement was also hacked. Dipke also alleged that even the backup account of the CJP was also hacked.

"Crackdown on Cockroach Janta Party. Instagram page hacked. My personal Instagram hacked. Twitter account withheld. Back up account also taken down," Dipke wrote. The allegations came as the movement has received significant support, especially from the youth. The movement has gotten over 21 million followers on Instagram within a few days.
The satirical movement was launched a day after the CJI stated that a section of unemployed youth was targeting the institutions via social media platforms, further calling them "cockroach". While reacting to his remarks, a section of youth, mostly Gen Z, launched the movement across the social media platforms.
Earlier on May 20, the X profile of the satirical movement was suspended, leading to an outrage. However, Dipke, a day later, formed a new page and asked the followers to connect there. The page received impressive support as it got above 50,000 followers within a day. While some of the opposition leaders have supported the movement, the BJP leaders have raised questions on the funding and background.
