- New CJP-Democratic faction launched by Manish Brahmbhatt.
- Accuses original CJP of becoming 'Team Kejriwal'.
- Alleges arbitrary committee formation, AAP connections.
Just months after the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) took social media by storm and organised nationwide protests that led to the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, a new faction called 'Cockroach Janta Party - Democratic' (CJP-D) has emerged.
Founded by Manish Brahmbhatt, who has been identified in several reports as an activist, the group has levelled several allegations against the CJP. Brahmbhatt claimed that after the success of the Jantar Mantar protests, the outfit was "sold out and politicised", adding that it "has now become 'Team Kejriwal'".
Why Did Manish Brahmbhatt Launch CJP-D?
One of the primary reasons cited by Brahmbhatt for launching CJP-Democratic was how the outfit selected its new committee last month.

While the CJP announced it would function as a pressure group rather than entering politics, currently working on its nationwide 'School Thik Karo' campaign, Brahmbhatt alleged that no volunteers or protesters were consulted before the committee's formation. He further claimed that the individuals included in the new wider team were associated with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
"It has now become 'Team Kejriwal' because Abhijeet Dipke and the others formed a 12-member team while sitting in the comfort of their homes," news agency ANI quoted Brahmbhatt as saying.
"After the movement's success, not a single volunteer or protester was invited or consulted for their opinion. Nor were the people connected via social media or Instagram asked about the necessary criteria; instead, they formed the team by including eight people associated with the Aam Aadmi Party, along with a female friend and college friends," he added.

Brahmbhatt further alleged that they wanted the CJP's new committee to be a national team comprising five people from every state, ensuring representation for protesters and volunteers from respective regions. He added that they had expressed a desire that the selection process should not be dictated by a "high command" or an "arbitrary authority figure", but their suggestions were ignored.
"They rejected this wish and formed the team in an arbitrary manner. The idea behind forming this team also originated with Arvind Kejriwal, as he has been deceitful from the very beginning," he said.
