VIDEO: Several Injured After Vehicle Carrying Female Tourists Rolls Down Slope Near Cliff In Dalhousie

A major accident was narrowly averted near Dalhousie in Himachal Pradesh when a tourist vehicle, with passengers onboard, suddenly began rolling down a slope. The vehicle, parked on an incline, started moving backwards just as a group of young women were boarding. Realising the danger, they instinctively jumped out to save themselves. Fortunately, the vehicle stopped after becoming lodged against a tree, preventing it from plunging into a gorge.

According to Jagran.com report, locals and fellow tourists rushed to the scene to pull the passengers to safety.

The incident occurred on Wednesday morning when the group of tourists visited Panjpula. After parking their vehicle on the side of a sloped road, they explored the area before heading towards Khajjiar at around 11:18 am.

As the women boarded the vehicle, it suddenly began rolling backwards. A video captured the moment when the passengers, all women, were seen frantically leaping out. Four managed to stay upright, but two fell onto the road as the vehicle gained momentum.

The vehicle continued down the slope towards a ditch, but fortunately, it became stuck on a tree, preventing a further fall. One woman narrowly avoided being swept into the ditch along with the vehicle. The incident was recorded by a hotel CCTV camera.

As the vehicle hit the tree and came to a stop, another woman fell and slid down the cliffside. Another hit her head on the door before falling and sliding further.

Local residents and other tourists quickly rushed to assist with the rescue. Six to seven women sustained injuries, and the vehicle was safely removed from the ditch using a crane. Afterward, the group continued their journey to Kalatop and Khajjiar. No police report has been filed regarding the accident.

Bystanders can be seen rescuing two of the women in the footage from the scene.
