The Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested four members of the international drug gang including its handler for smuggling drugs worth Rs 5,620 crore. The drugs include over 560 kg of cocaine and 40 kg of hydroponic marijuana.
The suspect, identified as Virender Basoya, is believed to be staying in Dubai. He was allegedly running the racket with the help of Tushar Goyal and Jitender Gill alias Jassi, both arrested, from there, according to the police.
The officials are interrogating the accused about the route through which cocaine was brought to India from abroad. With the mastermind of this drug smuggling gang, Veeru, running his business from Dubai and Mumbai resident Bharat Kumar Jain being arrested from Delhi, the Special Cell suspects that they may also be connected to Mumbai's D Company.
It is believed that Dubai is the safe zone of D Company. On Thursday, the IB team questioned Tushar Goyal in link to narco terror and Dubai connection, as he was constantly in touch with Veeru in Dubai.
According to sources, a few months ago, the central agencies got to know about the smuggling when they monitored some suspicious conversations on the Threema app. Veeru, who lives in Dubai, was talking to a person from Mumbai about a British rock band. The investigating agency came to know about the smuggling of cocaine by constantly intercepting that conversation.
Police Got Major Success
A Special Cell was deployed in this operation as the officials got the lead. The police got success when the route of the drugs was tracked which was brought from Panama to Goa through a port near Dubai. In the last few weeks, the consignment of that drug was brought to Hapur and Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh and then to Mahipalpur in Delhi. During investigation, the ID of Threema Ek turned out to be from Delhi, which was registered under a fake name of Tushar Goyal. As soon as the delivery came closer, the police team caught four smugglers including Tushar Goyal and Bharat Kumar Jain from outside a warehouse in Mahipalpur.

Police recovered 562 kg cocaine and 40 kg Thai ganja from the godown. The officials were surprised to see such a huge consignment. As the officials received such a huge consignment of cocaine, the investigating agency believes that the demand for these drugs have increased in Delhi and Mumbai.
Delhi Drugs Case: Who Are The Arrested Accused?
The police arrested four accused linked with the Delhi's biggest drug smuggling case.Those arrested were identified as Tushar Goyal (40), Himanshu Kumar (27) and Aurangzeb Siddiqui (23) of Delhi and Bharat Kumar Jain (48) of Mumbai.
