A 70-year-old woman was killed in a road accident at Mamurpur in Delhi’s Narela area on Saturday morning.The accident occurred at around 8 am in front of Himalayas Apartment, Mamurpur, Narela.
Delhi: A speeding Mercedes ran over an elderly woman who was walking in Narela, killing her on the spot.

As per preliminary investigation, a Mercedes and a WagonR collided head-on. Due to the impact, the WagonR was thrown back and struck a three-wheeler loading van parked nearby.

The crash resulted in 70-year-old Urmila, wife of Satyanarayan and a resident of Mamurpur, Narela, getting caught between the vehicles. She died on the spot. The driver of the WagonR sustained minor injuries and was provided medical aid.
Upon receiving information, Narela police arrived at the scene and sent the body for post-mortem examination
During the search operation, the police officials recovered beer bottles from the Mercedes.
An accident case is being registered, while the body has been sent for post-mortem. Further investigation is in progress.
