According to FlightRadar, a flight tracking system, over nine flights have been cancelled today amid Israel-Iran tensions.
The flight disruptions follow Israel’s military strike against Iran late Thursday. Iran's state media confirmed the blasts, while Israel's defence minister called it a “preemptive strike”.
The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) said, “Passengers are advised to contact their respective airlines for the latest updates regarding their flights.” The advisory comes after the escalating tensions in the Middle East.
The advisory also urged people to rely on official sources for updated and accurate information. It also cautioned passengers against misinformation. The Embassy of India in Iran also issued an advisory for Indian nationals and persons of Indian origin residing in Iran.
