Israel conducted a major military campaign against Iran early Friday, attacking major nuclear facilities and military leaders. The operation, code-named Operation Rising Lion, is intended to destroy Iran's nuclear programme, including its primary uranium enrichment plant at Natanz. After Israel attacked Tehran and other strategic sites, the Indian Embassy in Iran released a warning asking all Indian citizens and those of Indian origin to exercise caution, avoid any unnecessary travel, and stick to local safety guidelines.
The embassy also asked people to follow its official social media channels for live updates in the midst of the evolving crisis. "In view of the current situation in Iran, all Indian nationals & persons of Indian origin in Iran are requested to remain vigilant, avoid all unnecessary movements, follow the Embassy’s Social Media accounts & observe safety protocols as advised by local authorities," the Indian Embassy in Iran posted on X.
Operation Rising Lion
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the beginning of Operation Rising Lion as a turning point in Israel's history. Netanyahu said that the operation would go on "for as many days as it takes" to eliminate the Iranian threat. Israeli military officers confirmed strikes on "dozens" of nuclear and military infrastructures, including Iran's central enrichment site at Natanz. Iranian state media confirmed Hossein Salami, commander of the Revolutionary Guards Corps, was killed in one of the Israeli strikes. The Guards threatened harsh retaliation against Israel, denouncing the attack as a crime backed by the U.S. administration. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei also threatened a "bitter fate" for Israel.

Increased Security And Flight Cancellations In Israel
As tensions rise, Israel's Ben Gurion Airport was shut for all departures and arrivals until further notice. El Al Israel Airlines grounded flights to and from the nation, whereas Israeli defense troops are on high alert, expecting retaliatory missile and drone attacks from Iran. Tens of thousands of Israeli troops have been deployed at all borders. On the other hand United States indicated it wasn't part of the operation, highlighting its priority to defend American troops in the area. But US officials did recognize earlier intelligence of Israel's preparation.
The US State Department ordered all government staff members in Israel and their dependents to stay indoors until further notice. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, however, disassociated Washington from Israeli action, remarking, "Tonight, Israel took unilateral action against Iran. We are not involved." "Tonight, Israel took unilateral action against Iran. We are not involved in strikes against Iran, and our top priority is protecting American forces in the region," Rubio said in a statement. "Let me be clear: Iran should not target US interests or personnel," he added. Rubio said US ally Israel told Washington that its action "was necessary for its self-defense."
